NAIOP Tampa Bay Celebrates 2016 Best of the Best

FCT_NAIOP_awardNAIOP Tampa Bay recognized local businesses and commercial real estate during the 17th annual Best of the Best Awards dinner February 2, 2017 at the Westin Tampa Harbour Island. Companies and professionals from around Tampa Bay were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the commercial real industry in 2016.

NAIOP Tampa Bay named downtown St. Petersburg’s First Central Tower as Best Repurpose/Reposition Project.  The award comes on the heels of a $10 million renovation. Feldman Equities and Tower Realty Partners transformed First Central Tower into a first class office destination with modern amenities. The renovation included a stunning new lobby designed by the internationally renowned architect Gensler as well as a concierge desk in the lobby, a state-of-the-art luxury fitness center, and a conference center on the third floor. In keeping with current office space trends towards hip, high-tech spaces, the conference center and 24/7 “chill zone” have the look and feel of a first class airport lounge.  The chill zone features soft seating, a large flat screen TV, IPad chairs, and free WIFI.  The partnership also installed new tenant floor elevator lobbies, circulation corridors, and fully-renovated restrooms. Mechanical system upgrades included modern elevator systems and elevator cabs, as well as HVAC system upgrades. Lastly, a new entrance and upgraded lighting were installed in the parking garage.

As the “re-inventors” of the office building Feldman/Tower specialize in turning around underperforming and distressed office assets.
